From now until 30 November, as part of the Impression∞Hong Kong exhibition at City Gallery in Central, West Kowloon presents Cultural Hong Kong, a major public exhibition on the West Kowloon Cultural District. Cultural Hong Kong includes four new detailed architectural models – the Xiqu Centre, showing what happens both in front of the house and backstage, M+, Hong Kong’s new museum of visual culture, the Lyric Theatre Complex, and a conceptual design for the proposed Hong Kong Palace Museum – as well as a detailed Virtual Reality tour of the Xiqu Centre that allows visitors to explore the building and its two theatres and experience what seeing a show will be like when the Xiqu Centre opens in 2018!

An interactive district model illustrates key planning features such as the mix of buildings, public access, connectivity and the underground road system that will help make the ground level pedestrian and cycle-friendly. There is also a guide to the tree species being cultivated in the Nursery Park in preparation for the Art Park, a preview of a selection of work by local artists in the M+ collection, and information about the cultural events organised by West Kowloon since 2012.
