VIVD STROKES, which is a relatively new Gallery in Singapore will be exhibiting their collection of Artworks by over 25 artists from India, Sri Lanka & Pakistan at the VOLVO ART LOFT from Sep 4th - Sep 27th, 2015.

The Indian Sub-continent is a rich storehouse of a vast variety of styles & mediums, and the purpose of this small and personalized gallery is to provide a forum for young talented artists by discovering them early & promoting them over the years through various shows within & outside India, thereby giving them confidence & visibility. Singapore with it’s vibrant art culture and enthusiasts with a penchant for art from across the globe is the perfect stage to showcase these artists’ work, the gallery says. VIVID STROKES showcases many different mediums such as canvases, works on paper, wood & fibreglass, besides various mediums of sculpture. In the range of themes, one will discover Realistic, Figurative, Abstract, Surreal & Experimental works which have been executed by contemporary upcoming & renowned artists, serving as a perfect mirror for customers through a journey spanning ancient cultural heritage and traversing over to modern times.

VIVID STROKES welcome artists, collectors, connoisseurs, art enthusiasts, and basically anyone who appreciates art with the hope of creating synergies between the art, the artists, collectors and the world at large, to constantly try and find fresh perspectives to the vibrant art that the region has to offer. We are excited about seeing more of this rather unusual art region going forward.

THE FALL FARRAGO is a fusion of Eclectic Contemporary Art from India, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. Inspired by the rich ancient cultural heritage of the South Asian region, The Fall Farrago aims to celebrate the vibrant colors of fall amidst VIVID STROKES journey to present diverse art works across this region with a collection that continues to satisfy the discerning collectors colour buds. The show conceived and presented is focused on a grounded and innovative curatorial strategy. Weaving a strand of artists spread across disciplines, the curatorial effort digs into the finer aesthetic grain and concerns of each work and puts them forth in a defined collation. The initiative is not only to present but to foster a discursive dialogue enriching the fabric of an artistic rendezvous. The Gallery recognizes Modern and Contemporary South Asian art as a propelling force in the global arena, constituting the major pie of the financial stead.

THE FALL FARRAGO is in keeping with the Vivid Strokes philosophy of a mix of Art that has transcended from the traditional art forms to the modern contemporary styles whether it is a painting or a sculpture; figurative or abstract; mixed media; oil on canvas or etching. This exhibition encapsulates the zeitgeist of present-day India and the spirit of its vivid art scene bringing works of eminent artists like JMS Mani, HR Das, Subrata Das, Laxman Aelay, Anand Panchal, Deepa Vedpathak and Jagannath Paul amongst others. On display are also works of celebrated Artists and masters of cubism from Pakistan (viz. Mansoor Rahi, Mashkoor Raza, Abrar Ahmed, AS. Rind to name a few), Works of Anoma Wijewardene - A significant artist from Colombo, Sri Lanka, who explores beyond the superficial textures and colours that abound to create a multi sensory experience that celebrates the splendours of our bountiful planet. There are sculptures on display for the first time by VIVID STROKES ranging across mediums such as ceramic and fibre glass from India.

Each of the participating artists creates his or her idiosyncratic world, exploring themes that vary from ancient mythology to urban alienation. What unifies and harmonises this multi-pitched narrative are the very contemporary sensibilities and the postmodern subtext that linger through the works and form the thread that link the culture of these three countries.
