Freespace Happening wraps up with a two-day fest!
To celebrate the last of many Freespace Happenings of the season, West Kowloon Cultural District brings you a weekend packed with great music and events!
For the live music lovers we have Wedance from Korea, The Murky Crows from Taiwan, Zhaoze from China, plus a great line-up of local bands including Kolor, Qiu Hong, Sensi Lion, New Youth Barbershop, silhungmo, ANWIYCTI, Maniac and Modern Children.
For literature fans the House of Hong Kong Literature presents book talks with local writers, literature-based tours and treasure hunts, their popular “Potted Poetry Workshops” and “Literary Fortune-telling” sessions. And if you would like the chance to try out your acting skills, look out for the FM Theatre Power interactive, improvised theatre sessions on the North Lawn!
Family activities include a Xiqu Martial Arts Workshop where you can learn stage skills with the instructor of Cha Duk Chang Children’s Cantonese Opera Association and “Let’s Fly” - a fun paper plane making and flying session. You can also join the staff and dogs from the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA) at their kid-friendly picnic and dog walking events – “Barking Blind Date” and “Let’s Walk with Woof!”, all promising to be great fun.
For art lovers, you can also visit the M+ Rover and Rainbow Leung’s One of A Kind exhibition, learn new skills at the DIY craft workshops, browse the stalls at the ohmykids Market and Hoikokdaytan 2046, and take part in a Nursery Park Tree Tour.
Whatever your taste is, you will be sure to find it at this, the last Freespace Happening weekend of the season.

About Freespace Happening
Between August 2015 and March 2016, Freespace Happening attracted over 50,000 visitors to West Kowloon Nursery Park with a fun variety of free outdoor music and art activities and September 2016 saw the start of the new season, bringing audiences a mix of music, dance, street performances, markets, workshops and more. Events take place every second weekend of each month until March 2017.
