    There is no question that we love what the students at SCAD are up to! Recently, over the course of ten weeks, SCAD Hong Kong photography and fashion students worked in collaboration through sketches, process books and test shoots to create this year’s Senior Collection Look Book. Working with professional models and hair and makeup, the students spent two days in the studio photographing 38 looks from nine collections - all with distinct sets and lighting to enhance the designer’s brand. It is strong and durable, pretty and sustainable.It even has anti-bacterial properties!  To the project: I had this sofa table in my lounge that I didn't like. It was in the house when I moved in, and as I didn't want to buy something for the sake of buying something, I have kept it for a while.     The Continental restaurant in Pacific Place recently underwent some changes to its decor.     From June 14th-30th, the most comprehensive exhibition on the late Fan Ho’s work will be shown at Sotheby's Hong Kong. The exhibitions features over 30 vintage works by the celebrated photography master and film director Fan Ho. Each photo captures a moment in time, nostalgically documenting life in Hong Kong in the 1950s.     In 2012, one series of photos shed direct light on the housing problems in Hong Kong. They were taken from a bird’s eye view and showed sub-divided units, which drew local and international attention. This year, Society for Community Organization (SoCO) are working with photographer Benny Lam again to jointly organize a “Living Under Constraint” photo exhibition.     Wah Fu Estate is a public housing estate located in the southern district of Hong Kong Island. The whole housing estate with a total number of 18 blocks was completed in 1978. There are car parks, supermarkets, school and public library with the aim to develop a self-contained community - a new town.      What I’ve gathered from many friends who are avid travellers, mainly about hotels in Hong Kong, is the fact that hotel rooms are generally small.     Among the startups vying for attention, and investors, at the RISE conference, there were those who promise new and unique approaches to getting design and fashion to the public. For the second year running, the conference brought startups from all over the world – 88 countries to be exact – to Hong Kong. Among them were companies who have already won funding and those who are just tentatively presenting their idea to the public. Three homegrown startups were there soaking in the buzz. Hausie describes itself as "a curated portal for designers and artists to showcase their works, while providing individuals with access to high-design selections and art objects from more than 20 countries"...
